In short, Wagyu is a Japanese breed of beef cattle known for its intense marbling and incredible flavor. However, even though it is high in fat, it is also heart healthy. The fat that is woven into the muscle of Wagyu beef has a higher rate of monounsaturated fats than saturated fats. Simply put, it is more of the good fat, than the bad fat and our bodies can more easily break down and digest the fat that is found in Wagyu beef.
