We had been raising commercial Angus cattle for several years, but our cattle were more of an expensive hobby than anything else. We got to the point where we decided that we needed to do something that actually created a sustainable income rather than just breaking even or going backward.
I (Sawyer) have always loved a good steak. When I heard about Wagyu, or Akaushi to be more specific, from a friend in Iowa, I started to get pretty excited about the possibilities. In the summer of 2019, I decided to artificially inseminate my cows to a Wagyu bull...
Since then, this small business has opened the door to so many valuable relationships and experiences and we would not be here without the support of our community and customers. We are so excited about Wagyu beef, and it is such a pleasure to be able to share this exceptional meat with our family, friends, and valued customers.

We raise Wagyu beef on a small ranch just outside Eureka, IL. We have a small herd of cows that have calves each spring. We raise those calves from start to finish, and then we have the privilege of harvesting and marketing those calves to you, our valuable customers.
Our mission is to raise exceptional beef that creates return customers and long-lasting relationships.
Wagyu is known for its incredible marbling. We do not feed our cattle anything special, this breed of cattle simply is the best! High marbling creates an amazing mouth watering steak that we know everyone will love.
Wagyu simply means "Japanese Cow". The genetics we have used to establish our herd can be traced back to the first Wagyu cattle that came to the US. While we use the generic term Wagyu to describe our cattle, they are actually mostly Akaushi, which is a breed of Wagyu.
Wagyu cattle are known for their extremely high marbling. These cows are not treated differently than other beef cattle to get their beef this marbled. They simply are the best breed and naturally have high marbled beef.
American Wagyu beef contains essential fatty acids, such as omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids that are beneficial for the body.
It has a high unsaturated fatty acid to saturated fat ratio, which has been proven to lower markers of heart disease, such as high cholesterol levels.
